Mobile Ordering at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World continues to make life just a little bit easier each time you visit. Now in more than 20 different locations (and more are being added all the time!), this new feature gives Guests the option to order food ahead of time and pick it up when ready. For the full list of Mobile Ordering Locations, scroll to the bottom of this article.

With this service you can order ahead from wherever your using the My Disney Experience app, skip the lines and head directly to the pick-up counter where Cast Members will have your order ready to go! This will save you time in the morning or evening, leaving you more time enjoy all there is to do at Walt Disney World!

If you have a Disney dining plan you can now redeem your meals and snacks through the service. Disney has also recently introduced a new enhanced look that makes the ordering experience easier than ever.

I’ve personally used the mobile ordering service at Woody’s Lunchbox in Toy Story Land/Hollywood Studios and Columbia Harbor House in Magic Kingdom it worked like a charm! Just a quick tip: you will need your credit card available to charge your order. At the time I used the service, Disney Gift Cards and cash were not an accepted form of payment.

Let’s check out how it works!

This seems pretty obvious, but not everyone has the My Disney Experience app downloaded on their phone. In order to use Mobile Ordering, you will need the app.

Download the app on iTunes or Google Play

Open the My Disney Experience app and click on the circle (with the plus in the middle) at the bottom of the screen. Select “Order Food”.

Select “Order Food”

Scroll through the list to select which dining location you want to order from.

Select Dining Location

Once a dining location is selected, click on “Order Food” located under the name of the restaurant.

Click on “Order Food”

Make your food selections (Entrees, Sides, Kids Meals, Beverages, etc.). Just keeping adding options until you are done ordering.

Make your Dining Selections

Once you make all of your food selections, you will review your order. If all is good, proceed to the order summary for payment. You also have the option to modify your order at this time if there are changes.

Review Your Order

When you mobile order, you will need to make your payment ahead of time and make your payment right in the My Disney Experience app. If entering your credit card in the app does not appeal to you, you will need to order food in the traditional way by visiting the dining location and waiting in line. As of right now, the only form of payment accepted is a credit card. Have that available to make the payment. Once your credit card information is entered, click purchase.

Make Your Payment and Purchase

Once you purchase your order, you will need to tap “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” on the mobile app. That will send a message to the restaurant to begin preparing your order.

IMPORTANT TIP: Do not tap “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” unless you are ready to pick up your food. If you alert the restaurant prematurely by tapping that button, your food will be prepared and sit there until you pick it up. They will not prepare it for you again! So be sure you are ready to pick up your order.

The app will then notify the guest when their meal is ready for pick up. There is a dedicated area/window for you to pick up your food at each dining location.

NOTE: If you order during a busy time/prime time of day, even though you mobile ordered to save time, you may need to wait a bit for your food. Please be patient with the Cast Members as they prepare everyone’s order.
